As a visual artist, Sebastian Jung initiated the interdisciplinary project LOVE MOVEMENT at the Theaterhaus Jena. In a think tank, he brings together bright minds from politics, punk, pop culture, literature, and academia for a populism against hate. In his manifesto, Jung propagates a love between two people that seems on the verge of failing. At the puerile venue of the “Venus” erotic fair in Berlin, he created a sensitive genre picture in 108 drawings. Through the use of cellphone photos and texts, Jung circles around our society and establishes links between its “actors,” ideas and objects. Artificial flowers, drawings, and texts address failed love relationships and juxtapose the political dimension of populism with a sensuous vulnerability.
